Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These Terms of Service apply when you use the ReviewWorks website, purchase ReviewWorks products or engage ReviewWorks for services.
By placing an order or agreeing to a ReviewWorks service, you agree to the applicable terms shown at the time of purchase or in an accepted proposal.
1. About ReviewWorks
ReviewWorks supplies NFC and QR customer-action products and related setup, digital and managed services to New Zealand businesses.
We are operating in trade for the purposes of selling goods and services through this website.
New Zealand businesses selling online are required to clearly represent their products, prices and important terms and must not mislead customers. Commerce Commission
2. Prices
All website prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST unless clearly stated otherwise.
Current standard hardware pricing is:
Tap Card — $39
Tap Badge / Plate — $49
Countertop Stand — $79
Complete Business Pack — $149
Prices may change for future orders.
Changing a price does not retrospectively change an order we have already accepted unless there has been an obvious error that we contact you about before fulfilment.
3. Multi-buy pricing
Eligible individual ReviewWorks hardware qualifies for automatic quantity discounts:
3+ eligible items — 10% off
5+ eligible items — 20% off
10+ eligible items — 30% off
Eligible products can be mixed across Tap Cards, Tap Badges / Plates and Countertop Stands.
The Complete Business Pack is excluded from these multi-buy discounts.
The applicable discount is calculated automatically at checkout.
4. Orders
Submitting an order does not require ReviewWorks to fulfil an order where there has been an obvious pricing error, technical error, fraudulent transaction or other legitimate reason we cannot reasonably supply the order.
If we cannot fulfil an accepted paid order, we will contact you and provide an appropriate refund for the part we cannot supply.
5. Programming
ReviewWorks hardware may be programmed to destinations including:
- Google review links
- websites
- booking pages
- ordering pages
- social profiles
- ReviewWorks Smart Gateway pages
- other agreed destinations.
You are responsible for supplying accurate links and information.
We will take reasonable care when programming products, but you should tell us promptly if a destination needs correcting.
6. Christchurch onsite setup
Where the Complete Business Pack is purchased with Christchurch onsite setup — FREE, we will contact you to arrange a suitable appointment.
The free setup option applies within the Christchurch urban area.
Setup may include:
- discussing appropriate customer touchpoints
- positioning the supplied products
- testing NFC and QR functionality
- confirming destinations
- a short staff walkthrough.
The objective is useful customer coverage rather than installing the maximum possible number of devices.
7. Smart Gateway
Smart Gateway provides a hosted customer-action page that may link to approved destinations such as Google reviews, private feedback, bookings, ordering, websites or social profiles.
The current advertised price is:
$99 setup + $29 per month
Any additional scope or special requirements will be agreed before work begins.
8. Managed Reputation
Managed Reputation may include review monitoring, response workflow support, staff coaching, reporting, Google Business Profile hygiene, private-feedback workflows and placement or Gateway optimisation.
ReviewWorks does not guarantee:
- a particular number of reviews
- a particular star rating
- Google rankings
- search visibility
- customer responses
- revenue or sales results.
ReviewWorks does not use sentiment-based review gating to prevent dissatisfied customers from accessing a public review option.
9. Managed Visual Menu
Managed Visual Menu may include a hosted mobile menu, NFC or QR access points, agreed menu information and ongoing content updates within the service scope.
The advertised standard offer currently starts at:
$299 setup + $49 per month
Photography, video production, POS integrations, payment integrations, significant redevelopment, extra locations or work outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges where agreed in advance.
10. Recurring services
Where a ReviewWorks service includes a recurring monthly fee, the applicable cancellation terms, notice period and any minimum term will be shown on the relevant offer, checkout, order confirmation or agreed proposal.
We will not introduce undisclosed cancellation fees or materially different recurring terms after you have agreed to the service.
Standard-form business and consumer terms should be transparent and fair, particularly around cancellation, subscriptions and automatic renewals. Commerce Commission
11. Third-party platforms
ReviewWorks products and services may interact with third-party services such as Google, Shopify, booking platforms, social networks, websites or ordering platforms.
We do not control those third-party services.
Their functionality, policies, URLs, APIs and availability may change.
We may recommend reasonable changes if a third-party platform alters the way a ReviewWorks setup works.
12. Customer content
You confirm that you have the right to provide and use any logos, photographs, menu content, links, trademarks, videos or other material you give ReviewWorks for use in your setup.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of business information, pricing, menu details and other content you supply or approve.
13. Google reviews and reputation activity
ReviewWorks helps make legitimate customer actions easier.
We do not promise, manufacture or manipulate positive reviews.
We do not guarantee that customers will leave a review after interacting with ReviewWorks hardware.
Any private-feedback option must sit alongside rather than improperly block access to public review opportunities.
14. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed, ReviewWorks retains ownership of its website design, templates, software, systems, branding, processes and original materials.
You retain ownership of the business content, logos and other materials you provide to us.
Purchasing ReviewWorks hardware does not transfer ownership of ReviewWorks intellectual property.
15. Consumer law
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand law.
Where the Consumer Guarantees Act applies, goods and services must meet the guarantees imposed by that Act and customers may have rights to repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or other remedies depending on the circumstances. Consumer Protection
16. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReviewWorks will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from factors outside our reasonable control, including outages or changes to third-party platforms.
Nothing in this clause limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the ReviewWorks products or services develop.
Updated terms apply prospectively and will not remove rights already accrued under an existing transaction.
Material terms should be clear and should not be hidden or misleading. Commerce Commission
